Sargento to add more than 140 jobs to Fox Cities Region

Only ‘Real Cheese People’ expect the best taste and quality when they choose natural cheese. That’s why more and more people are choosing Sargento.

Since Sargento was founded in 1953, they have been known for high quality and innovation in the world of natural sliced, shredded and snack cheeses. In fact, Sargento has introduced virtually all of the modern conveniences found in the dairy case we enjoy today: pre-sliced cheese, shredded cheese, re-sealable packaging, blended cheeses—seriously, check out their achievements page. Headquartered in Plymouth, Wisconsin, Sargento is now a $1.3 billion company based on net sales.

Sargento recently introduced “Balanced Breaks”, a conveniently packaged combination of natural cheese, nuts and dried fruits. The product line boasts 7 grams of protein and fewer than 200 calories per serving, in 4 delicious varieties.

With the success of “Balanced Breaks” and its other natural cheese products, Sargento is currently looking for lots of help at its Hilbert and Kiel facilities. “Sargento is excited to increase our production and workforce in Calumet County,” said Marilyn Morrissey, Director of Human Resources at Sargento Foods. “We appreciate the ongoing support that we’ve received from the Fox Cities Regional Partnership since we first considered growing in the region more than a year ago.”

After spending time with the Sargento team, one really feels that “Hire good people, and treat them like family” is much more than just a motto at this third-generation, family-owned and operated company; it’s a way of life. ‘Real Cheese People’, please apply.
