A high level of care is provided throughout the region by health systems like Ascension, ThedaCare, Prevea and Children’s Wisconsin-Fox Valley Hospital. Ascension NE Wisconsin – St. Elizabeth Campus in Appleton has a Level III trauma center and earned an “A” in 2023 for hospital safety excellence in patient care from Leapfrog Group. ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton has more than 20 doctors on staff and is open 24/7. Prevea Appleton Health Center specializes in services such as behavioral care, gastroenterology and weight loss. Children’s Wisconsin-Fox Valley Hospital in Neenah is the only hospital in northeast Wisconsin dedicated exclusively to the care of children.
